Actress and Legal & Medical Secretary

About me: born and brought up in North East England, I’ve lived here all my life except for three years in West Yorkshire where I went to university to study Theatre Acting. I’ve had quite a varied career with a very brief period of theatre in education followed by working as a legal secretary and medical secretary before training as a primary teacher. I branched out into self-employment as a copywriter until AI stole my job! I then returned to my audio typing roots, working in transcription.

Unique information: I trained as an actress and still do a lot of amateur theatre, having starred in some few North East amateur muscial premieres including Come From Away and Aspects of Love. I also appeared in a WHO internet advert to raise awareness of high blood pressure a few years ago!

Qualifications: 4 A-levels, a BA (Hons) 2:1 degree and a PGCE.

Transcription experience: I have legal and medical transcription experience. I transcribe full-time and did a lot of audio typing in my roles as a legal and medical secretary many years ago.
