Transcriptionist with 40 years experience

About me: I grew up an army child in Germany and we settled in Cheltenham when my father retired. When I left school I became a department typist for a large insurance firm and worked my way up to personal assistant for a Director. My last employed post was in the legal field where audio typing was a mainstay of working in law. One final redundancy and three children later, I decided to retrain as a Nail Technician and now own my own salon, but I have never lost my love of typing.

Unique information: Some say that’s weird but I’ve always enjoyed it and so continued to work as a freelance transcriptionist alongside my passion for nails.

Specialist skills: I have transcribed in several industries: Medical, Legal, Film & Television and everything in between.

Time transcribing: more than I care to remember, but almost 40 years!
