Transcriber

Transcriber and Legal Secretary with over 45 years' experience

About Me: I grew up in Wales until I was 11 and then moved to Scotland until into my 40s when I then met my husband and moved to the Lake District. I started my career on a Youth Opportunities Programme with Renfrewshire Council and from there have worked in different law firms in Glasgow. When starting working from home I then picked up a lot of medical experience as well as my legal experience.

Qualifications: My main qualifications are English, Secretarial and Maths.
I went on to further education at College where I studied RSA I and II and Scotvec, as it was called then, I, II and III. I passed with distinction which I am very proud of myself for. I would say my specialist skill is true verbatim police interviews. You have to be extremely accurate and precise.

Transcription Experience: I have been a secretary for 45 years plus and a transcriptionist for the latter 12 of those years.
